Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League’s EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September.

His first direct goal contribution of the month came with the decisive moment in the 1-0 win over Frank Lampard’s newly promoted Coventry.

Played in behind down the right wing, he dug out a perfect cross for Erling Haaland to head home.

Semenyo then proved a vital outlet during the win at Old Trafford, helping Enzo Maresca’s side get up the pitch and provide a threat despite down to 10 men for three quarters of the game.

His star turn came just last week against Sunderland. After laying off to Rayan Cherki for his goal, he then powered in two efforts of his own as won an eight-goal thriller against the Black Cats.

He’s currently the joint-leading assist provider in the 2026/27 Premier League with three, while he has enjoyed a highly productive start to life at City since joining in January - scoring 13 times and giving six assists in 34 outings across all competitions.

Semenyo thrilled with important victory over Sunderland

Should he win, this would be his second Player of the Month prize as a City player having won it in February.

Semenyo will be up against Hull’s Mohamed Bellouni, Leeds’ Jayden Bogle, Brighton duo Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas, Liverpool pair Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet and Brentford forward Kevin Schade for the award.

Voting is now open and will close at 12:00 (UK) on Monday 28 September.

The winner will be confirmed at 11:00 (UK) on Friday 2 October.
