The Senegalese club Sonacos and its coach Sassy Ndao have decided to end their collaboration, an announcement made this Tuesday. The split was reached by mutual agreement, as the team is going through a tough spell in the league.

According to Sonacos' executive board, Sassy Ndao is stepping down from his position, and a restructuring of the technical staff is scheduled within the next 24 hours to ensure the team's continuity. In a statement, the club expressed its gratitude to the coach for his commitment and professionalism, wishing him all the best in his future career.

This decision comes at a difficult time for Sonacos. The team has struggled to find consistency this season and must quickly reorganize to avoid relegation. After 18 rounds, the club sits 15th in the table with 16 points, the result of 3 wins, 7 draws, and 8 losses. Defense remains the team's Achilles heel, having conceded 23 goals—the worst in the league.

This restructuring aims to breathe new life into the squad and enable Sonacos to raise their game in the upcoming Ligue 1 fixtures.
