The Premier League has unveiled the shortlist for September’s Player and Manager of the Month award.

Erling Haaland is once again in contention after a blistering start to the campaign, joined by Crystal Palace’s Daichi Kamada, Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, Sunderland duo Robin Roefs and Granit Xhaka, and Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi. Of the six, only Haaland has previously lifted the Player of the Month trophy.

August’s award went to Jack Grealish, who has found his form again following his move to Everton.

For Manager of the Month, the nominees are Mikel Arteta, Oliver Glasner, Pep Guardiola, and Regis Le Bris.

Arteta oversaw a strong month for Arsenal, with victories against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, alongside a hard-fought draw with Manchester City.

Glasner made headlines by ending Liverpool’s perfect start at Selhurst Park, while Palace added a win over West Ham and a draw with Sunderland to his tally.

Manchester City, guided by Guardiola, drew 1-1 with Arsenal, claimed a derby win over Manchester United, and defeated Burnley last weekend.

Sunderland under Le Bris went unbeaten across September, recording one win and two draws while conceding just once. Their results included draws with Aston Villa and Palace before a win over Nottingham Forest.

The winners will be announced on Friday, 10 October.
