Sereias da Vila return for medicals as pre-season begins | OneFootball

The Sereias da Vila reported back on Monday 12 January for medicals, starting pre-season under coach Caio Couto. According to Diario Do Peixe, the squad underwent check-ups at the club before training resumed.

Couto has renewed for this season and has worked with Thais Picarte, the women’s football coordinator, on shaping the group.

There were more than 15 renewals, while several players already on longer deals remain, including centre-backs Pardal, Ingrid Avancini and Rafa Martins, full-back Leandra, and midfielders Nath Pitbull, Giulia Giovanna and Thaisinha.

Three signings have been confirmed so far, goalkeeper Taty Amaro, full-back Leticia Santos and forward Eudimilla. The club is expected to announce goalkeeper Mayara, full-back Katrine, and midfielders Vívian and Rincón.

Extensions include goalkeepers Stefane and Michelle, centre-backs Ana Alice and Sara, full-backs Evellyn, Larissa Vasconcelos, Carol Lara, Barbara Cuzzuol and Adrielly, midfielders Suzane Pires and Rafa Andrade, and attackers Ana Barboza, Analuyza, Carol Baiana, Laryh, Ketlen, Samara and Cury.

There have been eight departures, goalkeepers Ágatha, Aghata and Karen Hipólito, centre-back Raissa Calheiros, full-backs Livia Mathias and Leidiane, midfielder Júlia Daltoé and forward Marussi.

This season the Sereias return to Brazil’s top flight and will also contest the state championship and the Copa do Brasil. Brasileirão A1 is scheduled for 15 February to 4 October, with Copa do Brasil between 22 April and 15 November.
