Sereias return at CT Rei Pelé for medicals after break | OneFootball

Sereias da Vila returned to CT Rei Pelé on Monday 8 after a short recess that followed their Copa do Brasil elimination on 28 May, a shootout defeat to Atlético Piauiense, undergoing laboratory and anthropometric tests. According to Diario Do Peixe, further screening is scheduled this week.

Cardiological exams are set for Tuesday 9. On Wednesday 10 they complete testing with isokinetic assessments, then on Thursday 11 they resume on-pitch work with double sessions.

Coach Marcelo Frigerio, known as Tchelo, now has more than a month to work with the squad during a calendar pause before July’s restart. A change in the dugout has yet to have an effect.

The Brasileirão is provisionally due back on 25 July, when they visit América-MG. Santos sit 12th on 14 points with three wins, five draws and four defeats, scoring 12 and conceding 15. Only the top eight progress to the knockouts, and five rounds remain to chase qualification.

In the Paulistão, the provisional return is 17 July against Taubaté, with scheduling to be set by the FPF. After three rounds, the Sereias are sixth with two points, drawing two and losing one, with three goals for and four against.
