Serge Gnabry is continuing talks with Bayern Munich about extending his contract, reports Florian Plettenberg. 

With his current deal running out next summer, there has been speculation as to whether the 30-year-old winger would stay with Bayern beyond 2026.

However, speaking on the negotiations, Gnabry seems quite comfortable with how and where things are heading: 

“It’s a very relaxed situation. We’re talking. We’ll see what comes out of it. So far, it has been good from both sides. It fits.”

So what exactly is being offered? 

Bayern are planning to offer Gnabry an extension that runs until 2028 on reduced wages. 

As per Gnabry’s comments, the German international seems content with the situation, and given his age, understands that should he wish to remain at Bayern, his wages would have to drop slightly. 

So far this season, the winger has four goals and five assists in 18 appearances in all competitions.
