Sergio Francisco has been appointed Burgos head coach after Luis Miguel Ramis chose not to continue, AS reports.
Born in Irún on 19 March 1979, Sergio Francisco Ramos most recently worked at Real Sociedad, where he was dismissed last season, and he previously played for the club.
He began his coaching career at Real Unión as assistant to Imanol Idiákez in 2012-13. The following campaign he became head coach, then moved into the Real Sociedad set-up.
After a spell with Real Sociedad C, he took charge of the reserve side in 2022. He led them for three seasons in Primera RFEF, ending that stint with promotion to Segunda División.
In 2025-26 he managed the first team for 16 matches in Primera División.
He has agreed terms with the black and white club for next season, with a further year dependent on results.
