Manchester United have joined the race for Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, who is also a target for Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to CaughtOffside, all three European giants are exploring a potential move in the upcoming January transfer window. A deal is considered feasible as the Guinean striker "could be snapped up for €50 million in January thanks to a release clause in his contract."
The report indicates that United are regarded as one of the clubs seriously considering signing the forward as early as this winter. The push for reinforcements comes as last summer's major signing, Benjamin Sesko, has struggled to make an impact. The £74 million acquisition has managed just two goals in 12 matches and is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
While the need for an elite striker is pressing—a point emphasized by manager Ruben Amorim—there are reportedly internal concerns at Old Trafford. Some within the club fear that the immediate arrival of a proven goalscorer like Guirassy could hinder the long-term development of Sesko, who is still viewed as the club's forward for the future.
