Serie A returns, with several new arrivals poised to start and fresh faces in the dugout.

According to Football Italia, the campaign opens with four fixtures on Saturday. Inter-Monza and Udinese-Como kick off at 18:30 CET, Parma-Cagliari and Genoa-Napoli follow at 20:45 CET.

The transfer window remains open, a frustration for many coaches, so several squads are still incomplete. Even so, a number of recruits are expected to step straight into starting roles.

Como are expected to make significant changes at the back, with three new starters including ex-Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, one of six English players to join Serie A this summer.

Inter signed two of that group, John Stones and Djed Spence, though as things stand only Spence is a guaranteed starter after his move from Tottenham to San Siro to replace Denzel Dumfries.

Juventus will also look to ex-Tottenham men, Guglielmo Vicario in goal and Randal Kolo Muani in attack. Vicario arrives on loan with an option to buy from Tottenham Hotspur.

Milan have added Mario Gila in defence, Diego Moreira on the left and Gonçalo Ramos up front. At Roma, Nahuel Molina and Rodrigo Mora are expected to feature regularly.

Fiorentina will change half of last season’s line-up, with six new regular starters. Clubs have until September one to add further signings and finalise their squads.
