Antonio Conte could hand out a number of Napoli debuts when the Partenopei take on Fiorentina in Tuscany on Saturday afternoon, but pre-match reports suggest that centre-forward Lorenzo Lucca is likely to keep his place over deadline day signing Rasmus Hojlund.

Serie A action resumes on Saturday following the recent September international break. Fiorentina and Napoli will kick off at 19.45 BST, after Cagliari-Parma and Juventus-Inter earlier in the day.

Napoli, along with Juventus, Cremonese and Roma, have sit at the top of the table on six points after two matches of the 2025-26 season, while Fiorentina sit in 12th after back-to-back draws against Cagliari and Torino at the start of the campaign.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Stefano Pioli is likely to go with a strike partnership of Italy international Moise Kean and Bosnia veteran Edin Dzeko for the first time. Roberto Piccoli is also competing with Dzeko for a spot in the starting XI.

Conte, meanwhile, has several decisions to make. Sam Beukema is expected to replace the injured Amir Rrahmani at centre-half, and could partner Alessandro Buongiorno if he gets the nod for his first start of the season.

Lorenzo Spinazzola and Matias Olivera are both competing for a starting spot at left-back.

While there are not too many changes expected in midfield – Stanislav Lobotka, Scott McTominay and Kevin De Bruyne are all set to start – there could be a debut for Hojlund, although not a full debut as Lucca is expected to keep his place in the XI.
