Inter are forced into changes for the tricky trip to Lecce, including Emil Audero in goal and Alexis Sanchez partnering Lautaro Martinez upfront.

The Nerazzurri have won every single competitive match in 2024, including Tuesday’s 1-0 Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.

Marcus Thuram sustained a thigh problem in that tie and is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks, with Francesco Acerbi, Stefano Sensi and Juan Cuadrado also on the treatment table.

Goalkeeper Yann Sommer is suffering from flu symptoms and has not make the trip, so Audero gets his Serie A debut for Inter, having already played in the Coppa Italia and Champions League.

Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolò Barella and Alessandro Bastoni are also rested, so Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani get rare starts, with Carlos Augusto filling the gaps in defence.

Lecce have Marin Pongracic and Patrick Dorgu suspended, plus Kastriot Dermaku a long-term injury absentee.

Federico Baschirotto had flu this week, but has shaken that off to start, while William Banda is also back.
