It kicks off at the U-Power Stadium in Monza at 19.45 UK time (20.45 CEST).

This is the opening fixture of Serie A Week 5, and so far the two teams have had very different experiences of the campaign.

Monza have just one point to show for their trouble, earned in a 1-1 trip to Parma, as they were defeated by Inter, Udinese and Lecce.

Notably, Ivan Juric’s side are far from dull, because they scored six goals in four games, the trouble is that they also conceded 11.

Patrick Ciurria, Jan Ziolkowski and Matteo Pessina are still out of action, but Ricardo Mangas has recovered from an ankle knock.

There is a debut for goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist, who arrived from Como late in the transfer session.

Sassuolo have been impressive under new coach Alberto Aquilani, as after a dramatic 2-1 opening defeat to Atalanta, they beat Torino and Juventus, around a 2-2 thriller at Bologna.

The 3-2 victory over Juve was extraordinary, snatched with the last kick of the game by Vasilije Adzic.

They have a long list of absentees, including Cristian Volpato, Jay Idzes, Sebastian Walukiewicz, Daniel Boloca, Fali Candé and Ismael Koné.

Sebastiano Esposito is celebrating his first call-up to the senior Italy squad, where he’ll join younger brother Francesco Pio Esposito.
