Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez are expected to return to the Milan starting line-up for Saturday evening’s Serie A clash against Venezia, following their removal from Paulo Fonseca’s XI for the 2-2 draw against Lazio prior to the international break.

Tammy Abraham is in line for his first start in Rossoneri colours following his deadline day loan move from Roma, while summer signing and Spain captain Alvaro Morata is likely to return to the bench following a brief injury battle.

Christian Pulisic could be rested after a long trip back from the United States and with an important run of fixtures against Liverpool and Inter coming up. Ruben Loftus-Cheek will likely be Milan’s advanced midfielder if that does happen.

Strahinja Pavlovic is expected to start at centre-back, and he is set to be partnered by Matteo Gabbia, with Fikayo Tomor dropping to the bench ahead of the Champions League fixtures coming up midweek.

Venezia, meanwhile, are tipped to go again with the same XI that lost 1-0 to Torino back in August 31.

Kick-off in San Siro is due at 19.45 BST.
