Maurizio Sarri has had a tricky return to life in the Italian capital, with a summer transfer ban followed by a shaky start to the season. The Biancocelesti have won just once this season as the injury-ridden side sit in 15th place in Serie A.

Lazio are without a whole host of players for the match, with injuries and suspensions decimating the Biancocelesti midfield especially.

Genoa, meanwhile, are still looking for their first league win of the season, with Patrick Vieira’s side drawing two and losing two of their opening four matches.

However, the Frenchman’s team may have gained confidence after their midweek 3-1 win over Empoli in Coppa Italia.
