Serie A official line-ups: Roma vs. Udinese

Roma cannot afford squad rotation due to injuries, as Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soulé lead the attack against Nicolò Zaniolo’s Udinese.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 17.00 GMT.

The Giallorossi swept Rangers aside in Glasgow on Thursday in the Europa League, but in Serie A are coming off a painful 1-0 defeat to Milan.

It was especially sore because Paulo Dybala sustained an injury during the saved penalty and will be out for several weeks, along with Leon Bailey, Evan Ferguson and Angelino.

This gives Gian Piero Gasperini very few alternatives in attack, so Dovbyk and Soulé start again with Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Udinese are fresh off last week’s surprise 1-0 victory over Atalanta, which pushed them up the Serie A table.

Keinan Davis is back in the squad after injury, but only fit for the bench, with Thomas Kristensen and Lennon Miller out of action.

Adam Buksa therefore leads the attack with former Roma star Zaniolo, who has revitalised his career with the Friulani.

He will be targeted by the Stadio Olimpico fans, having celebrated wildly when he scored here as an opponent for Atalanta, and of course demanding a transfer in January 2023.

Nicolò Bertola is preferred to error-prone Saba Goglichidze in defence.
