Udinese

(3-5-2): Okoye 5; Kabasele 5.5, Bijol 6, Giannetti 5.5; Ehizibue 5.5, Lovric 6, Karlstrom 5.5, Payero 6, Zemura 6; Davis 6, Thauvin 5.

Best Udinese player: Davis 6 – The former Aston Villa striker always looked like Udinese’s most likely source of a goal, until Lorenzo Luuca came on at least. He didn’t give up and tried his best to use his strength to disrupt the Juventus defence. Might have made it 2-1 had he not put a soft hand in th back of Federico Gatti in the second half.

Coach: Kosta Runjaic 5 – Udinese looked a more determined half in the second-half compared to the first, and were able to put Juventus under a bit of pressure in the final quarter, but it was a little too late. The decision to leave out Lorenzo Lucca, Udinese’s leading goalscorer this season. didn’t quite pay off, either.

Juventus

(4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio 6; Savona 7.5, Gatti 7, Kalulu 6.5, Cambiaso 7; Thuram 7.5, Locatelli 6.5; Weah 6, Koopmeiners 6, Yildiz 5.5; Vlahovic 6.

Best Juventus player: Savona 7.5 – A clean sheet and a well-taken goal is always a good day’s return for a full-back. Minus one minor miscommunication between Federico Gatti and Michele Di Gregorio in the second half, all of Juventus’s defenders put in a good shift in Udine, but Savona’s goal means he edges it over an equally impressive Andrea Cambiaso.

Coach: Thiago Motta 6.5 – At times in the first-half, Juventus looked at their strongest, and capitalised with two goals within 20 minutes. The Old Lady began to sit off a bit more in the second-half, and it became more of an exercise in game-management towards the end. A test that the team got through unscathed, though.
