With each passing week, Nico Paz is becoming one of the most exciting young playmakers in Europe as the players continues to impress onlookers with his performances at Como.

Currently in his second season in Italy, Paz has been involved in nine goals already, which has led to intense speculation over his long-term future at Como.

It is no secret that Paz is expected to leave Como at the end of the season. But where exactly he will join is the big question.

Tottenham and Chelsea interested

According to Fabrizio Romano, Premier League giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both registered strong interest in the services of Paz.

It appears both the English clubs want to bring the young Argentine to English shores next summer.

They are presumably prepared to pay a fortune for Paz as well, seeing that the youngster is fast-becoming one of the most talented playmakers in Serie A.

Real Madrid have the advantage

However, as far as Paz’s future is concerned, Real Madrid have a firm grip. Thanks to several buyout clauses, Real Madrid are in a position where they can dictate the youngster’s future.

For a while, it seems Paz won’t be considered for the Real Madrid first-team. But his performances this season have compelled Los Blancos to potentially bring him back to the Santiago Bernabeu for just €10 million.

However, it has been reported that Real Madrid are open to rewarding Como for their role in Paz’s breakthrough. So the club, therefore, could end up paying more than the €10 million buyout clause.

It hardly makes a difference for Real Madrid, though. As for Spurs and Chelsea, it is unlikely that they will be able to make a move for Paz anytime soon, unless Real Madrid suddenly decide to sell the player for a quick profit next summer.
