According to Football Italia, Lega Serie A has proposed moving Roma vs Lazio to 11.00 UK, 12.00 CEST, on Sunday, with four other fixtures also at 11.00, and delaying the Italian Open men’s final to 16.30 UK, 17.30 CEST, to keep the Week 37 race fair.
When the Rome derby is played, Juventus-Fiorentina, Genoa-Milan, Como-Parma and Pisa-Napoli must kick off simultaneously in Week 37.
The derby had been set for 11.30 UK, 12.30 CEST, on Sunday, but local authorities ordered a switch to Monday evening for public safety.
On the same afternoon, the men’s Italian Open final, originally set for 14.00 UK, is at the Foro Italico next to the Stadio Olimpico, raising fears of rival ultras converging in the area.
Lega Serie A has launched an emergency appeal against the order and tabled the new timetable. A Saturday slot is not possible, as Lazio face Inter in the Coppa Italia Final tonight.
This remains only an offer from Lega Serie A, which the local authorities have yet to accept, leaving eight clubs and hundreds of thousands of supporters waiting for clarity.
