Aston Villa could be without midfielder Boubacar Kamara until next season after picking up an injury.

Kamara had to be replaced early into Aston Villa's 2-1 win away to Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup earlier this month with Youri Tielemans taking his place in the team.

Unfortunately for Villa, the latest report from journalist Jacob Tanswell of The Athletic suggests the injury could be a long one. The outlet's sources have indicated that it's a severe injury that could mean the end of the 26-year-old's season.

The French international has been an important part of Unai Emery's side this season, featuring in 26 games in all competitions, scoring once and making four assists.

Kamara's time at Villa has been interrupted by injuries so far, most notably a knee injury picked up during the 2023/24 season that saw him miss the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
