Servigroup Peñíscola open new era as Liga Prime Futsal kicks off at Wanapix Zaragoza | OneFootball

Servigroup Peñíscola launch the rebranded Liga Prime Futsal on Saturday, visiting newly promoted Wanapix Zaragoza in the Torneo Apertura opener.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, kick-off is 13.00 at the pabellón Siglo XXI, with live coverage on Dazn.

The 2026/2027 league is split into two 15-game phases, Apertura and Clausura, replacing the 30-game regular season. All 16 teams meet once in each, with seven or eight at home.

Apertura runs September to December, Clausura January to May 2027. Each crowns a champion, then a play-off decides the season winner, involving the top two from each phase plus the four, or more if overlaps, with the highest combined points. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are best of three.

Relegation is set by combined points, with the bottom two going down. The Copa de España and Copa del Rey are merged, the top six from the Apertura qualifying directly and two more coming through inter-division ties.

The match is Gerard Pusó’s official debut. Pre-season brought only one defeat and ended with a 4-2 win over Catgas Energia Santa Coloma.

After summer fitness issues, he has a full squad available and must make three omissions before finalising the list.

Peñíscola will target the first three points in Zaragoza, with every round carrying extra weight under the new format.

Wanapix Zaragoza return to the top flight after finishing Segunda División runners-up and winning promotion via the play-off. Survival and consolidation are the priorities.
