Manchester United forwards Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo both went viral for their astonishing sprints in recent weeks. But who did it faster?
The Cameroonian winger had long been identified as one of the fastest players in the Premier League, as he had produced a flurry of menacing runs during his time at Brentford.

On the other hand, the Slovenian only joined the English top flight this season after making the £72 million move from RB Leipzig to Man Utd in August, making his attributes relatively unknown to EPL supporters.
With his large frame and eye for goal, Sesko can be an imposing presence in the box, but little did the fans know about his incredible pace.
Therefore, viewers and pundits alike were left mesmerised by his glorious run that culminated in the winner against Everton.
Sesko left his marker in the dust as he stormed across the pitch to join Mbeumo on the counter. The Cameroonian noticed his teammate’s charge and teed him up with a simple pass. The centre-forward only needed one touch to break the deadlock and give Man Utd three crucial points on their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
According to UnitedZone, Sesko registered a high speed of 35.3 km/h on that mesmerising run, beating the personal record he had set against Newcastle United (34.9 km/h). And yet, the Slovenian still felt just short of the club record for the 2025/26 season.
Mbeumo continue to lead the charts in this regard, thanks to an outrageous run against Fulham that saw him hit 36.3 km/h.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the Cameroonian’s only impressive sprint against the West Londoners. Mbeumo had also beaten a fresh Adama Traore for pace in the 90th minute while tracking back to support his teammates.
Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot completed the Top 5, sharing the fourth spot with a 34.6 km/h top speed.
Man Utd’s squad is obviously blistering with pacey players. The list also includes the likes of Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu, who are renowned sprinters.

This contingent of sprinters renders MUFC deadly in transitions, as evidenced by some of the goals they scored in recent weeks.
Nevertheless, Michael Carrick remains determined to add other facets to the team’s game, including possession football, which remains instrumental to penetrating packed defences.
