West Ham United have announced the news that seven players will be leaving the club upon the expiry of their contracts at midnight tonight.

The Hammers announced their exit list via a post on their official club website this morning.

It has been revealed that Mackenzie Arnold, Hawa Cissoko, Honoka Hayashi, Risa Shimizu, Emma Snerle, Abbey-Leigh Stringer and Mel Filis are all leaving the club.

Goalkeeper Arnold captained The Hammers this season while defender Cissoko served as vice-captain. Both players were regular starters for the East Londoners. Full-back Shimizu was an ever-present in the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2023/2024 while midfielder Hayashi missed just the one league game.

Midfielders Snerle and Stringer played important roles for West Ham United, however, injuries restricted their game time at The Chigwell Construction Stadium. Youngster Filis spent time out on loan at Charlton Athletic in the second half of this season. Her involvement in a West Ham United shirt has largely come from the bench.

Speaking following this morning’s announcement, West Ham United manager Rehanne Skinner said “I would like to wholeheartedly thank the players that are departing the Club at the end of their contracts.

“I have enjoyed working with all of them this year, particularly seeing their development both as footballers on the pitch but also as people off of it.

“Their contributions to West Ham United over recent years has been clear to see and I want to wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.”

Further squad news will be announced by West Ham United in due course.
