Seven youngsters to leave Birmingham City this summer

The Blues revealed the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
It has been reported that Layla Banaras, Vienna Tokam, Millie Pullen, Lacey Hughes, Izzy Williams, Abbey Beresford and Imogen Poile are all moving on when their contracts with the Midlands club expire next month.
Midfielder Banaras and attacker Pullen have both briefly appeared for Birmingham City at senior level after impressing within the club’s Under-21 squad. The other departing players have furthered their development playing Professional Game Academy League football within the Under-21 environment.
News of Birmingham City’s Under-21 player departures comes just days after the club released their senior exit list. The Blues confirmed that no less than 12 first team players are moving on this summer with a significant rebuild set to take place ahead of next season.
Birmingham City led the way in the Barclays Women’s Championship’s title race this season, however, they were beaten to promotion on the final day by London City Lionesses. The team are set to continue to receive significant financial backing to help them achieve their aim of securing a long-awaited top flight return.
