Although the team is currently on a break from football, the sporting offices at FC Barcelona are going through a very busy summer so far. They have already completed the signing of the forward Anthony Gordon, and are working to add some more players to their team before the start of the next season.
Meanwhile, the Catalan club is also working on several departures. There are some players, like Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marc Casado, whom they want to sell permanently, while they are also looking for new destinations for some of their youngsters so they can continue with their growth and development.
According to Mundo Deportivo, one player that falls in this latter category is the young fullback Jofre Torrents, as Barcelona are looking for a club where he can continue his development, and several clubs have already shown interest and sent offers for him.
Despite returning from a long-term injury, the defender continued to play at a good level during the 2024-25 season, making his way from Juvenil A to Barcelona Atletic team. He also made his debut with the first team last season, in the fourth match of the league season against Valencia, and then again played for the first team in the games against Real Betis in La Liga and against Guadalajara in Copa del Rey.
He kept playing regularly for the B team during the rest of the season, but was unable to play from February onwards because of an injury, from which he has already fully recovered.
For now, Barcelona would be working to find another destination for him, while simultaneously getting two more young fullbacks from the market, i.e., Jorge Salinas and Josue Caicedo. However, none of these operations has been completed till now, and it remains to be seen how these will end up in the coming days.
