Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, have Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios on their summer wishlist, according to Christian Falk.

The Argentinian international recently extended his contract with B04 until 2028, meaning the Bundesliga side doesn’t necessarily have to sell. However, due to many Premier League clubs acting with financial caution in the winter, many Bundesliga clubs are anticipating a large spending spree from their English counterparts in the summer.

Alongside Manchester City, both Newcastle United and Aston Villa have Palacios on their radar. Aston Villa have previously gone to Leverkusen for fresh talent, having bought in Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby in recent windows.

Leverkusen will only entertain talks with potential suitors at a starting price of €60m for the 25-year-old World Cup winner.

Palacios has played a pivotal role for Xabi Alonso’s side this season. So far, he has featured 17 times in 19 Bundesliga matches, with the club sitting top of the tree, two points ahead of Bayern Munich.
