Sevilla boss García Pimienta ‘on the brink’ of sacking | OneFootball

An update on the future of Sevilla head coach García Pimienta has on Saturday come to the fore online.

This of course comes amid what have proven an altogether underwhelming few weeks for the Andalusian outfit.

Sevilla currently find themselves in the midst of a four-game losing streak, a run which includes a derby downing at the hands of arch rivals Real Betis.

Their most recent defeat came on Friday night, at the hands of a Valencia outfit who have spent the bulk of the campaign battling relegation.

And as much, it would appear, has seen the future of Sevilla’s headmaster thrown firmly up in the air.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The fourth consecutive defeat against Valencia has left García Pimienta on the brink of dismissal. He is on the ropes, deeply affected, and with voices within the board of directors advocating for a change in the coaching position.’

The preference of the brass at the The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán would be not to change managers so late in the season, but should Sevilla’s form not pick up over the next couple of weeks, such an alteration could well be on the cards.
