According to La Colina De Nervion, Sevilla have rejected a 6.5 million euro bid from Olympiacos for academy left-back Joaquín Martínez Gauna, Oso, with talks still open as the Marinakis group consider increasing their offer. The club are working against the clock on a renewal to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Oso’s current deal runs to 2027, which would leave this season as his final year without a new agreement. Sevilla continue to point to a 20 million euro release clause, far above bids received.

The push is being driven via Olympiacos by the investment group led by Marinakis, Olympiacos’ president who also controls Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Forest are tracking the Spanish-Argentine defender and Fiorentina have also entered the race.

Sevilla aim to accelerate sales to ease the pressure. Striker Akor Adams has an agreement with Venezia, pending a club-to-club deal expected to total around 20 million euros including add-ons.

The same figure is being sought for winger Rubén Vargas after his World Cup rise, while formal offers are awaited to assess Juanlu Sánchez. Funds from these exits would give Sevilla greater room to act in the window.
