Sevilla summer signing could be pushed out during winter market | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla could be facing up to a swift exit from the club this winter.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Kelechi Iheanacho as the player in question.

Frontman Iheanacho for his part put pen to paper on terms with Sevilla over the summer, following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City.

The Nigerian international’s time in Spain, however, has since proven to be a major disappointment.

Though he has managed three goals in the Copa del Rey, Iheanacho is yet to get off the mark across nine La Liga appearances.

And such woes could well cost the 28-year-old his place in García Pimienta’s squad as early as this month.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, amid ongoing efforts to raise funds for the mid-season signing of Qarabag star Juninho Vieira:

‘Iheanacho could leave in the winter market after not training with Sevilla in the last training session of the year.’
