Sevilla will prioritise the signing of VfB Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa should Marcos Acuña leave the club this week, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Argentinian has been linked with a move away from Spain with interest coming from the Premier League. Should the left-back secure a move to England, Sevilla will make Sosa top of their list heading into the final week of the summer transfer window.
Since joining Die Roten in 2018 from Dinamo Zagreb, the Croatian has featured over 100 times for Stuttgart, developing into one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga. Therefore, he has undoubtedly garnered considerable interest from Europe’s elite, but Sosa has always remained in Swabia.
However, the 25-year-old remains happy at Stuttgart and isn’t pushing for a move away: “For me, the most important thing when I go is that the club is happy too. But if I stay, I’m happy too. I’ve been here for five years and have experienced a lot in Stuttgart. It’s like a second home for me. Both situations can happen, definitely. We know that the summer transfer window is very long.”
It’s believed that the club will not stand in his way and an offer within the double-digit million range would be enough for the Swabian side.
