Shambolic Rangers undone again amid Tynecastle capitulation

By no means is Danny Rohl to blame solely for Rangers crushed by Hearts, given how poorly Jack Butland presided at the back.
The players did decently till the offside goal from Miovski, then the heads went down and the game was gone.
Butland’s errors really only compounded a deteriorating display. We shan’t blame him, he’s had a strong season and been one of the only players to be able to be given credit.
But he did mess up.
By no means alone in that though.
And Rohl’s frequently-dreadful big match management once again played a huge role in Rangers’ capitulation.
A back four of Aarons, Tavernier, Sterling and Fernandez by no means struck us as an iron wall. We are well aware of the injury crisis enveloping the club. No sympathy Danny, we’ve had the same crisis every year at the back around this time so it’s nothing new.
But that selection was a mess. Midfield seemed ok on paper but on the pitch is where the game is played. Diomande continues to do little as a Rangers player, Raskin continues to look disinterested and wantaway, while Connor Barron really is just an average midfielder who had one good match against the bottom side Killie. Who then fired their manager at full time.
Then to see Youssef Chermiti, who knows he’s not wanted, coming on at half time to save the day, really compounded visiting misery.
That was a Rohl choice. Everything you see, just like under his predecessor, is a Rohl choice. Some are gaslighting with his late injury goal, simply because they’d much rather attack valid criticism for no reason aside being toxic.
But the buck ALWAYS stops with the manager, and despite the dire squad this coach has, he’s clearly mismanaged every big match.
Every European match has been a fail, the match v Celtic was horrendous, and Hearts bullied and completely outclassed us.
We were lucky to scrape a point at Tannadice. Rohl’s only claim to fame was two fortunate wins over Hibs. 1-0 each time.
Or are you about to tell us our squad is worse than Utd’s? It’s shocking, but it’s shocking on a Rangers level. It isn’t as bad as the bottom 6 in the SPL.
Rohl, like Martin, just has no idea how to manage Rangers.
We’re a unique club with a must-win demand, and the ease with which Derek McInnes, a true pro of a Scottish manager, took Rangers apart this time shows the gulf.

We could have had Kevin Muscat, Steven Gerrard, McInnes himself. No, we ended up with Danny Rohl, who couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery.
Add to him the players who have utterly given up and while Rangers will probably finish top 6 this season, forget silverware.
Rangers are a deep shambles throughout, and we’re beginning to get so used to it that we’re now wondering if 9IAR was a Mandella Effect.
But we know fine well the usual ‘look what he inherited’ types will come charging in on their horses to defend their king. Rangers crushed by Hearts should advise otherwise.
Just like they did with every predecessor who took over and burned.
Que sera.
