Bunny Shaw admitted Manchester City Women were left disappointed after being held to a 1-1 draw by Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Shaw was on target for City but felt her side only showed their best after the break, having allowed Madrid too much time and space in the opening half.
“I think when you look at the game, we tried much better in the second half than we started the first half,” Shaw told Disney+ after the match.
“That’s one thing we’re going to look at as a team.
“Disappointed that we didn’t win the game, but definitely fight at the end, and that was good.”

The City striker felt a more aggressive approach after the interval caused Real Madrid problems and believes the outcome could have been different had they started the game in the same manner.
“We gave them a lot more time in the first half, and in the second half we stuck in and pressed them higher up the pitch,” she added.
“That caused a lot of errors for them, and I think if we had continued that in the first half, it would have been a different game.”
