Shea Lacey is set to be in Manchester United’s squad against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Everton at Old Trafford. They failed to capitalise on Idrissa Gueye’s early dismissal for slapping Michael Keane.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored to lead the Toffees to a memorable victory in Manchester.
United will look to bounce back at Palace, who are yet to lose a league match at Selhurst Park this season.
Manager Ruben Amorim is dealing with injuries to several key players at the moment, including Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire.
The club’s injury issues in attack mean Lacey could make his senior debut against the Eagles.
The 18-year-old is one of the club’s brightest prospects. He is highly rated for his close control, pace and finishing skills.
Injuries have hampered his development, but he has shrugged them off to force his way into contention for the first team.
The talented winger was part of United’s squad against Everton last Monday, but was an unused substitute.
He is now set to be in the squad today at Palace, and could make his first competitive appearance for his team.
