Ryan Oné has been tipped for a potential loan move to the third tier
Sheffield United's upcoming transfer window could go a long way towards resurrecting the disastrous start to the campaign which they endured under Ruben Selles and Chris Wilder, who is now well into his third spell in the Bramall Lane hotseat.
The Blades' summer was one of chaos, as ownership group, COH Sports, adopted an AI-themed and rather scattergun approach to transfer policy, one which Wilder is somewhat hoping to address in the coming weeks as United look to make strides of progress up the Championship table.
Yet, despite there being several injury issues which the 58-year-old has had to recently navigate, one department which the Steel City outfit are particularly well stacked in is their attack.
Tyrese Campbell has recently returned to form under the man who acquired his services last summer after relegation from the Premier League, whilst Tom Cannon, Danny Ings and Patrick Bamford are all now seasoned second tier campaigners in their own right, with Wilder also hoping to extend the latter's stay in S2 despite initial question marks being raised.
As such, there are now firm question marks over the short-term future of Scottish youth international, Ryan Oné, who was signed by the South Yorkshire side for six figures as a 17-year-old from Hamilton Academical in September 2023.
Across a two-year period, the striker has made just north of 20 senior appearances for the Blades, and is still under contract until 2029 after previous links to current Premier League champions, Liverpool.
Speaking on the striker's current predicament, Football League World's Sheffield United fan pundit, Jimmy - of the Blades Ramble - believes a League One loan switch would serve his development well.
"He does need to be playing regular football for his development, and I'd be really surprised if he didn't go out on loan," he told FLW.
"I would like to see him at League One level, as I think he's capable of playing at that level," Jimmy added.
With that being said, FLW have identified THREE third-tier clubs who could add the striker to their January shortlists.

It has been a disastrous opening four months of the League One campaign for Blackpool, who parted company with Steve Bruce before moving to appoint former Tangerines cult hero and centre-back, Ian Evatt.
Despite the latter's recent pedigree at this level, guiding Bolton Wanderers to two play-off campaigns, his new chargers have been unable to drag themselves out of the mire, regardless of the experience and quality which resides within the Bloomfield Road ranks.
To his credit, Ashley Fletcher has scored the majority of the side's goals thus far, whilst Niall Ennis and Tom Bloxham have chipped in here and there with a share of their own.
However, it is fairly apparent that the Seasiders are in the market for further reinforcements, with Football League World recently revealing that they are facing competition from Lincoln City for the services of Eoin Kenny, who is now a free agent after scoring 12 times for Dundalk last term.
Oné, of course, is still extremely raw in comparison, but a loan swoop could certainly be a viable alternative in order to kickstart his and Blackpool's season.

Doncaster Rovers had made an initially impressive return to the third tier after winning the League Two title last term. However, in recent weeks, Grant McCann's side have endured a major drop-off in form and goalscoring levels.
That is despite the fact that Billy Sharp remains a constant fixture in the side alongside the relatively experienced Brandon Hanlon, whilst Toyosi Olusanya is yet to get into the goalscoring groove following an injury-hit loan switch from Houston Dynamo.
Oné is currently based not too far away from Doncaster, meaning that a minimal change in routine could appeal to the young striker.
There is also a clear connection to his current employers through the aforementioned Sharp, whose individual relationship with Wilder is well-documented, meaning the 36-year-old could become a key mentor in the striker's short-term development.

Leam Richardson is preparing for his maiden transfer window in charge of Reading after being appointed in October, and one which could be crucial in determining the Royal's short-term future from a divisional perspective.
In recent times, the Berkshire club have become a hotbed for young talent, a situation somewhat forced upon them due to previous controversial ownership. However, it is fair to say that goalscoring, beyond the experienced duo of Jack Marriott and Lewis Wing has been a key issue this season.
The aforementioned forward recently returned from injury. However, Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan has struggled in his place, whilst Brighton loanee, Mark O'Mahony, has not started a league outing since August 30.
It would be harsh for Royals supporters to pin their hopes on a player, such as Oné, who is in the infancy of his career, should he make a potential move to the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
