Sheffield United sign midfielder Rouse | OneFootball

Sheffield United have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Mollie Rouse on a permanent deal.

The Blades announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 26-year-old midfielder joins Sheffield United off the back of a one-year spell playing her football in the all-new American United Super League (USL) with Washington-based club Spokane Zephyr. Rouse has signed an initial one-year deal at Bramall Lane with the option of a further year.

The player has plenty of Barclays WSL2 experience to her name built up in spells with Aston Villa, Lewes, London City Lionesses and Sunderland.

On the international stage, Rouse represented England in her youth. She turned out for the Lionesses at various youth levels up to and including Under-21 level.

After joining Sheffield United, Rouse said “It feels really amazing to be here. It’s been a very quick turnaround; I was in the USA a day-and-a-half ago and now I’m in Sheffield.

“I’m very excited. When I heard about this being a potential opportunity, all I wanted to do was get here and be a part of it.”

The addition of Rouse was Sheffield United’s only piece of business on Transfer Deadline Day.
