Sheffield United have announced that women's team manager Ash Thompson has left the club.
Thompson was appointed midway through last season but has not been in the dugout this season with the manager reportedly suspended from his role, although no public reason was given for the decision.
"Sheffield United can confirm that the club and women's manager Ash Thompson have mutually agreed to part ways," the club said in a statement.
"Following a review, both parties agreed that this was the right time for a change of leadership.
"The club would like to thank Ash for his efforts throughout his time at the club."
Assistant Luke Turner will continue to take charge in the interim before a new appointment is made.
The Blades are currently bottom of the WSL 2, having drawn one and lost three of their opening four fixtures so far.
