Wilding said: “I’m delighted to be joining Sheffield United and excited for the challenge ahead. I feel like I’m at the point in my career where I need a new challenge, to go to a new team and be able to play in different systems, learn a new philosophy and grow as a player and a person.”

Head coach Ash Thompson commented: “Annie is an exciting young player who has had a great footballing education at Everton. She’s a good technician and is a versatile player who allows us to be tactically flexible.

“She’s keen to learn and develop and was willing to drop down a division to earn opportunities and we’re really pleased to add her to the squad as we keep building ahead of the new season.”
