David Storch has indicated that he is still interested in purchasing Sheffield Wednesday, while James Bord's bid has collapsed.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
James Bord's Sheffield Wednesday takeover deal has collapsed, while fellow interested party David Storch has indicated that he is still interested in purchasing the Steel City outfit.
Bord's consortium felt that Wednesday's value fell below their bid, and the Owls will remain in administration until another bidder purchases the club.
The Hillsborough side were relegated from the Championship on Sunday, courtesy of a 2-1 defeat at Bramall Lane against cross-city rivals Sheffield United.
Three parties have contacted Wednesday's administrator following the news that Bord will no longer complete his takeover of the S6 outfit.

Storch revealed how keen he is on a Wednesday takeover before Bord's deal collapsed, and will now hope to inherit preferred bidder status.
Meanwhile, Football League World asked our Owls fan pundit, Patrick McKenna, what his thoughts were on the statement from Storch's bid team.
McKenna told FLW: "In relation to David Storch's team releasing a statement indicating they are still interested, now with the news of the Bord bid collapsing, it makes sense.
"It's no coincidence, really, that (Mike) Ashley is in the wings, and now these guys felt that they could publicly go to a journalist and state their intention. I imagine that word around the Bord bid had got out.
"These guys want to make themselves known that they are keen because if they want to get back in and bid, I imagine you have to do it quickly, and the administrators will not want to delay proceedings.
"It's certainly interesting, and I imagine that they would be looking to re-enter the race now to take over Sheffield Wednesday."

Wednesday afternoon's developments were certainly a tough pill for the Owls faithful to swallow, especially after such a gruelling campaign, including point deductions which were responsible for the fact that they became the first ever Championship club to suffer relegation in February.
Former owner Dejphon Chansiri has driven the Hillsborough outfit into the financial doldrums, while a successful takeover from Bord would have shed light at the end of the tunnel.
However, the fact that Storch's statement preempted the news of the collapse of the former preferred bidder's takeover potentially bodes well for Wednesday, who know that other parties remain eager.
Furthermore, Bord is being sued by his former business partner, Jonathan Cohen, over investment in Spanish club Cordoba, which could be perceived as a red flag against the American's name.
Chansiri's disastrous reign at Wednesday's ownership helm proves the insurmountable damage that one individual can inflict on a football club, and there were signs that Bord may not have been the best person for the job.
The EFL were working to assess whether the American's takeover would have been largely funded by proceeds from gambling and crypto-gambling, in line with the requirements of their Owners' and Directors' test.
