Shelbourne FC is pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old striker Brie Severns ahead of the 2026 season.
Severns brings extensive NCAA Division 1 experience, logging 71 matches, including 45 starts. Across her collegiate career, she recorded 14 goals and eight assists. Severns spent four seasons at Kansas University, making 47 appearances, before adding further experience with a season at Texas A&M and a season at the University of Miami.
Speaking on her signing, Severns said: “I’m so excited and grateful to be signing with Shels. This opportunity to play for such a historic and respected club was something I couldn’t pass up. I can’t wait to play at Tolka Park with the team and have a successful season!”
Head Coach Sean Russell added: “Brie is a traditional number 9. She has a great physical presence allowing her to bring players into play and is a threat inside the box. Brie’s attitude and ability will be a positive addition to our team.”
Technical Director Luke Byrne said: “The signing of Brie gives us more depth in the attacking areas. She can play up front on her own or as part of a pair and will bring a physicality to the attacking part of the pitch. We’re delighted to have her on board and in the building as we continue our preparation for the Presidents Cup.”
