Shels sign keeper Beach | OneFootball

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Eddie Beach.

The 22-year-old joins the Reds from Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, subject to international clearance, adding to John Russell’s goalkeeping options ahead of the remainder of the 2026 season.

A Welsh Under-21 international, Beach began his career in the Southampton academy before joining Chelsea in 2022. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he gained valuable senior experience through loan spells in England at Chelmsford and Gateshead before moving permanently to Kilmarnock.

Beach is no stranger to the League of Ireland, having spent the opening half of the 2026 season on loan at Derry City. He arrived at the Brandywell following an injury to first choice goalkeeper Brian Maher and quickly established himself in Tiernan Lynch’s side.

During his spell with Derry, Beach made 22 appearances in all competitions, keeping six clean sheets. He conceded 24 goals across his other 16 appearances before returning to Kilmarnock following Maher’s recovery from a wrist injury.

Standing at 6ft 5in, the Welshman is a commanding presence, sharp shot stopper and comfortable with the ball at his feet. He brings valuable experience from England, Scotland and the League of Ireland, while also representing Wales at underage international level.

Speaking after completing his move to Tolka Park, Beach said: “I’m delighted to be joining Shelbourne. It’s a massive club with a big history and as soon as I spoke to the manager and Luke, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be. I really enjoyed my time in the League of Ireland earlier this season and I’m excited to be back. I’ve seen the ambition around the club, the quality that’s in the dressing room and the standards that are expected every day. I’m looking forward to getting started especially with the excitement for Europe around the corner.”
