Shomurodov reacts to scoring last second winner vs Athletic

Eldor Shomurodov was the hero of the night for Roma as he scored the last second winner against Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

After the 2-1 win at the Stadio Olimpico, Shomurodov spoke to Sky Sport.

“The important thing is that we won,” he said. “I scored but we can’t relax, there’s the return match away from home.”

“We have to stay calm and prepare for the next matches, on Sunday there’s Empoli.”

“We are a family, everyone feels good, when you feel the trust, when everyone plays and feels part of the project it is important.”

“Tonight we won but we mustn’t take the return match for granted, we have to go there to win.”
