Silva's late header earns Tondela a point as Alverca finish with ten | OneFootball

Tondela 1-1 Alverca at Estádio João Cardoso, the hosts extending their Liga Portugal unbeaten run to three matches thanks to a late equaliser after trailing early.

In the fourth minute, Marko Milovanovic glanced in a header from Nabil Touaizi Zoubdi's cross to put the visitors ahead.

André Nogueira Gomes kept Alverca in front with smart saves from Cícero early on and Rodrigo Conceição before the interval. Bernardo Caltabiano Parise Fontes also denied Touaizi Zoubdi and Milovanovic as Tondela pushed back.

A VAR review then went Tondela's way, with no penalty awarded (42.).

Bastien Meupiyou received a second yellow and was sent off (67.).

Substitute João Silva levelled with a close range header from Brayan Medina's knockdown after a corner (80.).

Tondela produced 18 attempts and forced 11 corners, enjoying 59.6% of the ball. Alverca mustered 10 attempts and made 47 clearances as they dug in.
