Carlo Ancelotti is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, which will mark an end of an era for Los Blancos.
The Italian tactician has been hugely successful in his second stint at the club. But after a poor season, he is set to move on at the end of the season and join the Brazilian national team.
In the wake of Ancelotti’s imminent departure, heartfelt messages have started pouring in not just from the Real Madrid camp but also from the opposition.
In fact, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has recently congratulated Ancelotti on his wonderful stint at Real Madrid and wished him best for the future.
When asked about Ancelotti, Simeone refused to evaluate Real Madrid’s season so far under the Italian tactician.
“I don’t get into evaluations, that’s his club’s business and his personally,” said the Argentine mastermind (h/t EFE Deportes).

Instead, Simeone hailed Ancelotti for his stunning legacy and track record, not just at Real Madrid but throughout the entirety of his coaching career.
“As a coach, we all have great admiration for his work, not only for what he has achieved and represented at Real Madrid, but also for his entire sporting career,” he added.
Finally, the Atletico Madrid manager wished Ancelotti all the best for the road ahead, especially as he gears up for the Brazil job this summer.
“I admire him very much, I love him very much, he knows that and I wish him all the best,” he concluded.
The Brazil job will be Ancelotti’s first real assignment with a national team, which is quite surprising considering the fact that the Italian’s career has spanned more than three decades.
Interestingly, Ancelotti will be managing the arch-rivals of Argentina, the country Simeone hails from. Therefore, we can expect the Atleti boss to be on the opposing end of Ancelotti even after his departure from Real Madrid.
