Diego Simeone says Giacomo Raspadori’s training levels do not point to a January departure, though Atletico Madrid remain open in this window.

“He keeps working with the same sense of responsibility he has always shown since he arrived. The way he trains doesn’t indicate anything related to a departure,” Simeone said to Marca.

“We’re open to whatever may happen; we take things one game at a time and focus on the next match.”

The Italian striker has been linked with a return to Serie A, with Roma and Lazio among the clubs interested.

Raspadori moved to Atletico Madrid last summer and has collected two goals and three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions this term.

Roma are also interested in Manchester United forward Joshua Zikrzee and hope to bring both him and Raspadori to the Olimpico this month.
