Simon Adingra loaned by Sunderland again, Ivorian joins Ajax after Monaco stint | OneFootball

Under contract with Sunderland until 2030, Simon Adingra has joined Ajax on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy. He arrived in Amsterdam on Wednesday.

According to L'Équipe, Ajax kept busy as the Dutch window neared its close. Hours after sealing Thilo Kehrer's loan from Monaco, the club confirmed Adingra's arrival.

At 24, the Ivory Coast international with 30 caps did not appear to be in Régis Le Bris's plans at Sunderland. He is set to play for a sixth club.

He spent six months on loan at Monaco from January to June, was involved in five goals across 17 matches, and the €17 million option was not taken up.

Ajax have been reshaping their wide options, weeks after letting Mika Godts leave for PSG and following the recent arrival of Viktor Tsygankov from Girona.
