Auxerre beat Nice 2-1 at Stade de l'Abbé Deschamps to climb from 16th to 15th, with the visitors dropping from 15th to 16th.

In the ninth minute Sofiane Diop finished from the centre of the box to give the visitors the lead. Sékou Mara levelled with a low finish from inside the area (27.). Lassine Sinayoko then swept in after Naouirou Ahamada's pass to complete the turnaround (70.).

Donovan Leon kept Auxerre in front, saving from Mohamed Ali Cho (53.) and parrying a low strike by Elye Wahi (78.).

After Marvin Senaya replaced Lamine Sy (71.), the hosts found space down the right. Senaya's cross picked out Danny Namaso for a header that Yehvann Diouf clawed away (74.).

An early injury forced Bryan Okoh off, but Auxerre adjusted and pressed on.

Auxerre held 52.0% possession and delivered 10 corners, repeatedly asking questions from wide areas. Les Aiglons produced six shots on target from 10 attempts but could not find a second breakthrough.

Next, Auxerre visit LOSC in Ligue 1. Les Aiglons host Metz.
