Real Madrid will face Manchester City tomorrow, on Wednesday, in the second leg of their Champions League play-off.

This is because several players are one yellow card away from missing the next round, putting the team at significant risk.

Real Madrid players at risk

It must be noted that a total of seven Real Madrid players are at risk of suspension if they pick up another yellow card during this match. Among these players is Eder Militao, who is currently sidelined with an injury, but the other six are still key members of the squad.

This includes the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Endrick are all crucial to Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical setup.

The situation is particularly concerning as any of these players, except for Endrick, could be crucial in the team’s progression to the next stage of the competition.

On the other hand, Manchester City do not face the same immediate suspension risk. None of their players are currently on yellow card warnings.

However, City do have injury concerns, and there is one player, Ruben Dias, who would miss the next round of the Champions League if he receives a yellow card in tomorrow’s game.

The stakes are high for both teams, with Real Madrid looking to protect their slim advantage and avoid any potential suspensions that could affect their squad in the upcoming rounds.

Interestingly, as learned from the first leg encounter, Real Madrid know how to maintain discipline, as the same players were at risk of missing out on the second leg. However, none of them received caution and are now available for the home leg at Santiago Bernabeu.
