Six members of Tottenham’s first team have been left out of the registered squad for the Champions League league phase.
Kota Takai, Radu Dragusin, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Mathys Tel have not been included, as per the list published on UEFA’s website.
Dragusin, Maddison and Kulusevski are still working their way back from serious injuries.
20-year-old Takai, meanwhile, only joined Tottenham this summer and has also been struggling with an injury.
But there is no place for Bissouma or Tel.
Bissouma has not played this season having missed the UEFA Super Cup defeat to PSG for disciplinary reasons before suffering an injury, which is not believed to be set to keep him out for a while.
Tel joined Spurs on an initial loan deal in January before making his move permanent this summer, but has not been included on the list published by UEFA.
Spurs have had to reduce their squad size from 25 to 22 because of a lack of club-trained players to comply with UEFA’s rules. Goalkeeper Brandon Austin is the only club-trained player in the first-team squad.
Tottenham’s full Champions League squad:
Goalkeepers, Vicario, Kinsky, Austin
Defenders: Danso, Udogie, Romero, Porro, Spence, Davies, van de Ven
Midfielders: Palhinha, Simons, Gray, Bergvall, Bentancur, Sarr
