There are still details needing to be worked out by Paulo Fonseca ahead of Juventus’ visit to San Siro as they face AC Milan on Saturday.

Milan have already played several games of high importance this season. However, it could be argued that tomorrow’s could be the biggest.

The Rossoneri sit in a perilous position. Six points separate themselves and Juventus. A gap which must be shortened tomorrow night.

For this reason, Fonseca is allowing the squad to prove themselves more, and delaying making decisions about starters.

Earlier this week, it seemed that there were three options in the Portuguese head coach’s head, but it now seems that there are two.

As Sky have reported, via Milan Press, the decision to revert to a 4-3-3 has been left behind. Instead, the 4-2-3-1 will remain.

Christian Pulisic should be moved centrally, given the continued success he has been finding in the role.

On the right, Samuel Chukwueze and Yunus Musah are competing. The Nigerian offers a more offensive option, whereas Musah could allow the Diavolo to soak up more pressure by allowing changes to a five-back system.

Fonseca is still yet to decide which approach to take into the fixture, but his decision will be known when the lineups are announced.
