Sky Sports reiterated Real Madrid are leading the race in the Yan Diomande saga, despite Manchester City’s intensified effort on Saturday. The Premier League side are ready to bid €100 million for the Ivorian winger, which will make them the third club to do so after Liverpool and Real Madrid.

However, Sky reported there is no verbal agreement between the player and Manchester City. Real Madrid and PSG remain coy on completing the deal as the Spanish giants reportedly continue their pursuit after their initial bid was rejected by RB Leipzig.

Despite no bid sent from PSG so far, the back-to-back Champions League winners reached a verbal agreement with the player a while ago. According to Sky, Real Madrid also convinced the player in the past 24 hours.

The two clubs could now enter a bidding war, with RB Leipzig deemed €100 million to be nowhere near enough to acquire the 19-year-old. Diomande signed a deal until 2031 when he joined RB Leipzig from CD Leganés for €20 million last summer.
