Sky: Real Madrid set to finalize Yan Diomande deal this week | OneFootball

Sky Sports report optimism is growing that a deal between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig will soon be finalized for Yan Diomande. The Champions League record winners have been the frontrunners for the transfer of the Ivorian winger for over a week.

However, Florian Plettenberg insisted until today that there was still no breakthrough in discussions, even if the deal would be the most likely possibility before the end of the transfer market.

RB Leipzig chief Marcel Schäfer confirmed that update yesterday, but things suddenly escalated after positive negotiations on Tuesday. Plettenberg reported Real Madrid are now working to complete the deal this week.

Diomande will not be expected to join RB Leipzig’s training camp in Austria as discussions are set to continue between the two clubs. The Bundesliga club previously rejected multiple €100 million offers for the 19-year-old.
